This December, We Come Bearing Impactful and Lasting Gifts for Christmas
Every December, Hi5 Creatives visits a local community to share the love and joy of Christmas in different ways. We call it the ABCD Phenomena, where we Alleviate Poverty in our special way, Beautify at least one home in a community by furnishing them with DIY products, Clothe children with new Christmas Wears and Decorate the Community to have the feel and mood of Christmas.
An Island on the Mainland
We visited Agboyi for the first time on 13th of November to only carry out a skills acquisition training that can empower 20 women to become financially independent. We were moved with compassion when we saw the state in which we met the community, we decided to adopt it for other projects that can give it a turnaround by starting with the SkillUp Agboyi project, which is going to involve raising social entrepreneurs from our trainees, who will invest back in the community.
Together, we can go farther
We want to empower 20 highly driven women in 4 different skills areas, while mentoring them for 12 months to develop marketable products that can scale within and outside the Nigerian market. We plan to have at least 10 women with consistent 6 figures revenue by the end of 2022 with your assistance through donations, we will definitely achieve this and more.
How We Will SkillUp Agboyi Community
We are not just looking to train these women in these skills and leave them to it. To make impact, we will train and mentor them for 12 months after setting them up with a start up capital in different skills categories.
Catering
We will train 4 women in the art of making easy to make snacks that people can order from anywhere in Lagos. They will be trained in making plantain chips and coated peanut burger snacks. They will be trained on how to package them and sell online with our business development, branding and digital marketing sessions. Start up cost for each woman taking this training is 27,000NGN
Scented Candles
5 Women will be trained in the art of making scented candles of different types, which they will package and sell to already identified gift vendors and individuals on Givvie and other markets outside Lagos. According to the trainer, each woman can make an average income of 50,000NGN for a start while they can set up their business with 20,000NGN.
Tie&Dye Shirts
Bomistyl comes with over a decade experience in making crafts that women can turn to money no matter where they live. The company will train 5 women on how to make Tie&Dye shirts which continue to trend in both local and international markets. Each woman will set up her business with at 15,000NGN and make revenue of 30,000NGN on a monthly basis.
Liquid Soap
This every day use product will be learnt by five women who will also learn to make products of different variants and sizes for various uses. These women will package their branded goods to differentiate their products from what currently exists in mainstream markets. With 10,000NGN, they are ready to start their own business that will bring them additional income on a monthly basis.
